Carroll Gardens Walking Tour

Join us for a walk through one of New York City's most interesting neighborhoods. Remarkably, only a very small portion of Carroll Gardens is a historic district. We will look at it and consider what other parts of the neighborhood may deserve such designation. We will also discuss the intense development pressures in what is now a red-hot real-estate market. Perhaps no neighborhood in Brooklyn satisfied as many of Jane Jacobs criteria for a successful urban place.

Leader: Francis Morrone, architectural historian
